Continued with the medicines and decided to hit the apartment gym…
Deep inside me, the voice continued to revolt, about the medicines.
Few weeks passed…
Wife got a illustrative book on few poses from Barnes & Nobles.
It was surprising for me as i discovered a occasional practitioner right beside me.
I gradually started knowing the science thru internet. Both of us attended free yoga seminars in Colorado Springs, CO, over a few weekends.
She introduced me to some basics, which i started practicing.
Enrolled in a Ang Mardanam class for 5 days when i visited india in 2004.
During the progression of the class, the instructor came up with the conversation, and during one of the conversations, i asked him whether there were remedies possible in the yogic way, for high cholesterol.
The List of lifestyle changes and Hatha Yoga poses as per instructor’s suggestions. The daily practice has helped me stay away from bad cholesterol, without medicine, for the last 10 years.
Food that can help in Reduce LDL, VLDL and Increase HDL levels (Healthy Cholesterol)
a) Eat Good Fat – Consume omega 3 rich foods. Omega 3 fatty acid helps in increasing HDL cholesterol and reduces LDL cholesterol. It also helps in reducing total cholesterol
b) Reduce Sugar Consumption – Excess sugar is stored in the body in the form of fat. Also, with uncontrolled sugar the walls of blood vessels become stiff. This leads to abnormal cholesterol calcification and accumulation.
c) More Fiber Intake: Fiber reduces the cholesterol absorption from the intestines into the blood. It also delays the absorption of cholesterol.

One, can also take Fish – Salmon / Mackarel.
